About
JCYAT offers an annual workshop for students age six to eighteen. Participants learn skills including stage basics, movement, projection, diction, characterization, improvisation, and technical aspects. Activities take place at the theatre. Cost of the workshop is $60 per participant, which covers t-shirts, snacks, staffing, and supplies for our activities.
Plays and Performances
Workshop participants have the opportunity to audition for the summer production on the last day of the workshop. However, participation in the play is not required for workshop participants. Those who are unable to attend the workshop may also audition for the play.

It will be another great year at our summer workshop, a part of Jackson County Young Artists’ Theatre. The workshop will end with auditions for our summer JCYAT show. Please note that participation in the summer show is not required.
Registration opens April 1, and the link is published via e-mail, social media, and above. Please be aware that our program typically fills up quickly, so don’t delay! Students attending the workshop can expect to learn about all aspects of theatre—both on stage and behind the scenes. Further details about the workshop schedule will be sent to participants before the workshop week.
